Our identity as Christians is multifaceted. At the same time we are slaves to Christ and His friends, we are also sons and daughters. Our identity is also being called the Bride of Christ. The Bible refers to both the corporate and individual Church, the New Jerusalem, and us as individuals as the bride, and makes it clear that Jesus is the bridegroom (Is 54:5 and 62:4-5, Mk 2:19-20, Jn 3:29-30, 2 Cor. 11:2, Rev. 19:7-8 and 21:2-3 & 9). When Jesus miraculously fed the 5,000, there was a message in the miracle.  Subsequently, when the disciples found themselves in trouble on the sea, Jesus walked on the water to them and stopped the wind and waves.  Mark 6:52 records, "They were totally amazed, for they still didn't understand the significance of the miracle of the loaves.  Their hearts were too hard to take it in."  What miracle has Jesus done in your life?  Did you catch the message?  Is your heart soft enough to find the message in every miracle?
